BusinessWorld Online, Culinary School Expanding
A culinary school based in Davao City, Philippines will expand to various cities in the Brunei-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area next year.
Joji Ilagan-Bian, owner of the Institute of International Culinary and Hospitality Entrepreneurship, is set to hold talks with schools in Manado, Indonesia and Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia. This year, the school is spending an initial P34 million to refurbish its five-storey building.
The school will employ top-notch teachers such as German chef Michael Oberle, former assistant director for culinary arts of the International School for Culinary Arts and Hotel Management, and Belgian pastry chef Friedrich Scailtaur.
