Internships and Your Career
What is an Internship?
An Internship is a supervised practical training that occurs in an actual workplace setting, such as in the case of ICHEF students, in cruises, international hotels, institutional or commercial kitchens. The goal of undergoing an internship is to take what is learnt from the classroom and apply it to a real working environment.
Why do I need to do an Internship?
The Internship & Workplace Experience Program of ICHEF provides incredible opportunities for students to gain invaluable experiences to develop and enhance their skills in the field of Hospitality, Culinary and Tourism.
How will doing an Internship help me in my career?
Your Career is our Top Priority!
ICHEF has worked closely with its business and industry partners since 2009. This ensures that educational curricula and learning objectives are aligned with the needs of the ever dynamic and growing Hospitality industry.
Upon graduation, students must complete an industry internship. In ICHEF, an Internship Coordinator works closely with each student to discuss his/her career aspirations, give career advice and monitor his/her work progress.
ICHEF offers industry internships in different locations around the world! The internship coordinator constantly coordinates with the school’s business and industry partners to keep track of job openings and guarantee that internships offer learning opportunities and enhance students' career pathways.
