JIB Schools Launch "Certify ME" Program


The JIB schools once again prove their world class edge among other schools in the Philippines. 
 
In partnership with its international partner which is WORKSKILLS Australia, the Joji Ilagan Schools specialize in vocational education and management consulting, delivering a range of training programs which are designed to be flexible and innovative to meet the latest of industry skills, sets and competencies required for career growth and capability enhancement.
 
In relation to this, the Institute of International Culinary and Hospitality Entrepreneurship (ICHEF) Davao City and The Joji Ilagan International School of Hotel and Tourism Management General Santos City (JIB- IS) both owned and managed by the Joji Ilagan Career Center Foundation, Inc. (JIB Schools) launched the newest “Certify Me” Program last July 19, 2014 at Gensan and July 21, 2014 in Davao. The special launching in GENSAN was attended by Mr. Bo Fernandez (Manager of Sarangani Highlands), Mr. Rain Ramas (VP for Hoteliers Association of Gensan), Ms. Monet Odango (manager of Phela Grande), Mr. John Ed Rebite (President Wow Gensan Association of Travel Agencies), Mr. Meg Balucanag (Exec. Asst. to Mr. Teng of Greenleaf), Ms. Kathrina Herera (VP for Admin. Rep. Florotel), Dr. Rodrigo Salangsang Jr. (owner Drigss Pension Hauz), and Ms. Monna Lisa Marinas (manager Richera Suites). 
 
In Davao launching, some of the attendees are the following: CLAUDE LE NEINDRE (owner of Claude’s Café), personnel from the Apo View Hotel-CARMEL MASIGA, KATHRYN M. GABUNI, and GILBERT AGUADO, ANTON ABAD (EC Vikings), RAY GALARA (Chef de Partie Vikings), VICTOR BARANGAN (exe. Sous Chef Marco Polo), Anthony Tan (GM Marco Polo), and some of the staff of the JIB CBT, and JIB ICHEF.
 
The Certify Me Program is designed for existing hospitality workers who have the hospitality skills and experience, and would like to be recognized for an Australian Qualification. 
 
Once the hospitality professional has been certified, he can now consider applying for ASEAN certifications for work opportunities across the ASEAN member countries. Christine Williamson, the Director of Workskills Australia, attended the two launching dates, and she gave inspiring words of knowledge to everyone as she explained the importance of having an Australian Qualification. She also awarded the certificates of completion to the ICHEF Chef Instructors namely Ada Fe Delena, RJ Custodio, and Clinton Gregorio. These chefs have completed the special training for an Australian Qualification.
 
The Institute of International Culinary and Hospitality Entrepreneurship (ICHEF), owned and managed by the Joji Ilagan Career Center Foundation, Inc. is one of the biggest and most modern hospitality and culinary school in the Philippines located at the Tourist and Food capital of Mindanao-Davao City. ICHEF is also the first in Mindanao to be accredited by the Commission of Higher Education (CHED) to offer a Bachelor of Science in Culinary Management. 
 
Seasoned Culinary chefs work with students hand in hand and with its state of the art kitchen facilities, together with its international partner, WORKSKILLS Australia. ICHEF is situated in S. De Jesus Street, Davao City. 
 
The Joji Ilagan International School of Hotel and Tourism Management General Santos City is the biggest and most modern hospitality and culinary school in General Santos City.

Aside from the Certify Me program in GENSAN, they also conducted the Meet the Parents activity.
