DINE Philippines 2011


 

Some of the country’s best breed of restaurateurs gathered as F&H Events Specialist presented the first in the 3-leg campaign of DINE PHILIPPINES 2011: Young Restaurateurs Summit at The Marco Polo Hotel, Davao City.

 

Guest of honor Regional Director Arturo Boncato, Jr. welcomed over 250 delegates representing restaurants, hotels and academe in the Mindanao Region where young restaurant owners revealed their restaurant management and culinary secrets. The conference included plenary and panel sessions on restaurant management styles, dynamic branding strategies, restaurant business success stories and many more.

 

Among the pool of remarkable resource speakers were Chef Robby Goco (Executive Chef and Owner, Charlie’s Grind and Grill and CYMA Group of Restaurants), Roy Quejada (General Manager, Yellow Cab), Ms. Amy Besa (Owner, Purple Yam in New York), Mr. Wilfrido “Iboy” Pinga (President, Southern Friends and Owner, Amici and Cara Mia in Alabang Town Center), Mr. Lex Ledesma (President, Whistle Stop), Chef Raki Urbina (Executive Chef and Managing Director, Café Laguna and Lemongrass in Cebu), Chef Cyrille Soenen (Owner, Restaurant Cicou and Culinary Ambassador, Unilever Food Solutions), Olivia Puentespina (Manager, Malagos Food Inc. in Davao), Darah Mateo (President, Good Burgers), and Eduardo delos Reyes (Managing Director of Buffalo’s Wings N’ Things).

 

DINE Philippines 2011: Young Restaurateurs Summit Davao was made possible by Unilever Food Solutions and Signature Dishes, the region’s Department of Tourism, the Institute of Culinary and Hospitality Entrepreneurship, the Joji Ilagan-Bian Foundation and the region’s Council of Hotel and Restaurant Educators of the Philippines. Dine Philippines 2011: Young Restaurateurs Summit is a series of restaurant management and culinary conferences that kicked-off in Davao City, followed by Cebu City. The culminating event will take place in Manila at the SMX Convention Center this October.
